Kraken has bought futures exchange Small Exchange from IG Group for $100 million, allowing it to offer a fully US-based derivatives platform. Small Exchange is licensed by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission, giving Kraken a regulated way to provide futures and options to both retail and institutional clients.
